While walking through the outdoor Albert Cuyp Market looking for bargains, I just had to stop into this rustic café when I read the sign for apple cake and give this Dutch tradition a try. Will and her brother Raoul Etienne have had the café in the family for 85 years and keep the same recipes passed down from generations.
Then in the evening, it was dinner at Café Bern. Cheesy fondue loaded with wine and Chris grilled the pieces of Entrecote meat in garlic, basil butter sauce. I wonder if I can get Medi-Fast overnighted so I can fit in my clothes!
