Here we are at the Doubletree Hotel, Boston, across the street from Tuft’s University and breakfast is a buffet complete with Boston baked beans. This was a first, having beans at breakfast except for traditional English breakfasts with those beans more like pork and beans. These beans are so good, the right amount of brown sugar, mustard and
all ingredients cooked to perfection. The beans were soft with sauteed onions in the warm, flavorful rich and savoy sauce. I must try to make these at home but I doubt they will be as good as the ones from its birth place. Worth a try and I may just hit on the right combination to get me through until I return to Boston for beans, lobster rolls and Italian food.
