In an industrial area on Kaewe St directly off highway 30 are 2 grass roots little places with super food and hard to find if you’re hungry. Once spotting Lahaina Car Wash, Sweet Aloha Baking Company stocks fresh cinnamon rolls baked daily and ready for purchase on their cart just before the cars go through the wash. Victoria and Anthony started the business 3 years ago and bake their famous NO’KA rolls at their facility and deliver throughout Maui. Anthony said Canadians call before arriving to their vacation condo and he has a dozen rolls ready for their arrival. Visitors planning to take home a dozen on the plane, be warned, the container of frosting might get confiscated by TSA!
Listed in the top 10 food trucks is Shark Pit Funked Up Farm to Table and it sits in a tow yard type place with gravel and chain link fence. Once you get past that scenery, taco meat is marinated in tropical chipotle and a raspberry reduction sauce. Corn on the cob is layered with furikaka, wasabi mayo and butter. They do their best to have organic products and buy local. Nice to have offbeat experiences in a tourist area. #Sweet Aloha Baking Company #Shark Pit Maui
