A busy intersection across the street from a Metro line with cars whizzing by continuously honking horns as I sat outside at a bistro table made me realize, I really was in Paris. Le Relais de Venise “Son Entrecote” Le Relais De Venise Son Entrecôte on Boulevard Pereire, has one dinner selection on their menu and its a tender cut of beef smothered in chicken liver gravy. Also explained as green pepper sauce, it overflows onto the crispy fries and my server Benoite (wearing a traditional black uniform with crisp white collar and apron) suggested I order it medium rare. Mostly locals and a few tourists wait in line around the corner to dine with 500-700 meals served a day. As I finished eating, Benoite brought a tray to serve me more slices of beef and insisted on topping it with this luscious sauce. Tres bon!!
