Do you remember the original location of The Pancake House in El Cajon? I do, Main and Magnolia, full of dark wood and red booths. That’s where I first had their crepes topped with strawberry butter. They moved to 2nd St near Broadway years ago and have many of the same menu items like cheese blintzes and potato pancakes. The morning I was there, old timers sat at the counter talking to one another, Farmer Bros coffee was brewing and the waitress yelled “order in” as she handed the cook her latest customer order. It hasn’t changed much in over 30 years, especially the strawberry crepes which were delicious. Next time I may just order the Pigs in a Blanket!
