We hadn’t been to Idyllwild in many years, so it was time to check it out. A new upscale lodge rivals any 5 star in NYC which made for a most pleasant visit. The Grand Idyllwild Lodge was built craftsman style by Brad and the interior designed by his wife,Jacki. Not only was the scenery beautiful but knowing this couple built the luxury lodge from their dream was a breath of fresh air. #The Grand Idyllwild Lodge
Idyllwild has no shortage of creative and giving people. Chris Johnston started Middle Ridge Winery in Temecula and makes bold reds and sassy whites. His soon to open tasting room in the center of Idyllwild is also an art gallery because he and his wife support the local Art Alliance. In his youthful summers, he studied the violin at the Idyllwild Arts Academy and he sells his wines for a song. #MiddleRidgeWinery
“Italian elevated” is how Ferro Restaurant in Idyllwild is adeptly described. Chef/owner Frank Ferro has been cooking Italian food for many years and his new venture with Executive Chef Geoff Brown delivers a whole new take on traditional dishes. Dessert of Budino pudding was a delicious ending to a fabulous meal of vegetable lasagna. Another convincing reason to enjoy this leisure and peaceful mountain town #Ferro
