On the suggestion of a traveling food adventurer we just had to try Sam’s Chowder House in Half Moon Bay. Of course, a friday has the lunch crowd, so we sat at the bar. After a thrist quenching bloody mary, the order was in for the 2 items not to miss, New England clam chowder and Maine lobster roll.
I am happy to say they lived up to the reputation. The breads are from a local bakery and lobsters are flown in from Maine. I liked the chowder, made from scratch, as its not too heavy and more flavors come through. The lobster meat was fresh from the waters,as good as being on the east coast.
This place is definitely worth the stop even on a busy Friday. Great food and views of the ocean, what’s not to like! #Samschowderhouse
