Snoopy, Pillsbury and M&M’sby M'Liss on Jun 11, 2020 • 11:19 am No Comments
Going back to the 70’s with Snoopy and Woodstock telephone and carrot cake. I remember the discussions about the original carrot cake recipe and if you added crushed pineapple that was just not right. My hand-me-down recipe is simple with flour, sugar, eggs, oil, grated carrots and cinnamon. And the cream cheese frosting is the best part of the cake!
The Pillsbury Doughboy and I decided to make Napoleons by using Trader Joe’s frozen puff pastry. I cooked the pastry cream and baked the puff pastry while telling poppin’ fresh stories. Remember hitting the can of biscuits on a counter to have them explode? When it was ready to assemble, mini italian strawberries were added to the layers to liven it up.
Can you do the laugh when the doughboy was poked in the stomach!
The watch says it’s time to make cookies. Dial M for M & M cookies!
Sweet treats pair nicely with vintage collectables.
