The fall was the perfect time to drive along the Great Lakes, after the summer recreation areas closed and before the snow started to fall. In Cleveland, we found Polish food at Little Polish Diner and our plate was full of a stuffed cabbage roll, Kielbasa, sauerkraut and potato pierogi. This was comfort food and satisfying on a chilly day. On the way to Buffalo, NY, we stopped to pay respects to the I Love Lucy statue in Lucy’s hometown of Jamestown, NY. This was a highlight for me being such a big fan of the TV show. We then made it to Anchor Bar in Buffalo to eat the original Buffalo wings. The vinegar sauce was too sour for me and one man told me the other sauces I’m used to are not real Buffalo wings! Boston was our final destination and no place better for food than here. Mike’s Pastry has delicious cannoli’s, desserts and cookies. Good thing I ate a lobster roll earlier to round out the sugar!
