Have to eat Cuban food while in Miami. La Rosa Restaurant was recommended to us and we arrived as Thursday’s lunch was starting.  The mostly male waiters wearing white long sleeved shirts and black vests, brought fried green plantains in a bowl to our table and they were crispy and light. Special of the day was Cuban roasted pork and an old timer insisted I add the lime, butter and garlic sauce on the side for dipping.  Perfect suggestion because the lime sauce added a twist to the mound of juicy pork.  Oh yes, the crackled fat on the pork was delicious.

The other dish of octopus in garlic sauce was very tender and swimming in a flavorful broth. Of course we had to have sides of black beans and rice as if we didn’t have enough food, but had to try traditional foods.  And a plate of sweet plantains for dessert, I could barely walk out.

The food is inexpensive and believe me, plentiful. ‪#‎larosarestaurantmiami‬ Fine Cuban cuisine
